OEKO-TEX Standard 100 - Tested for harmful substances
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world’s best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. If an article is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, all components of the product have been tested for harmful substances and are therefore safe for health – in addition to the outer fabric, this also includes all threads, buttons and other accessories. The overall requirements go far beyond existing national and international specifications – and of course they are regularly adapted and expanded.
99% of all GREIFF products are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.
And because GREIFF always goes one step further, more and more of our products also carry the OEKO-TEX MADE IN GREEN label, which additionally takes social criteria into account.
The tests for harmful substances of STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX include:
- legally banned and regulated substances
- harmful chemicals for which there is no explicit legal regulation (yet)
- health care parameters, such as a skin-friendly pH level and good colour fastness
